Expose and Explain Racism in Today's America
Video Contest
RACISM IN AMERICA HAS BEEN EXPOSED IN 2020.
The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbury were only the beginning. However, much of the country still does not believe they can change or prevent racial discrimination. It all starts with knowing where it came from and how it keeps going.
The 1940's saw the same problem with Nazi ideology creating racial hierarchies. American filmmakers created "Don't Be a Sucker", a 20-minute video to teach America:
-
what racism looked like in action
-
how racism divided people
-
how racist ideas took hold
-
how to counter racism
The Center Against Racism and Trauma sees the need for a remake for today!
We want our community of today to create a video like the one seen above for a chance to win the first place prize of $1,000!
